Service of 12 spoons with a wall-mounted display, all in argent mass 800/1000 with gilded bowls, in Neo-Rococo style dating to circa 1850–1900 from France, complete set of 12 spoons (each 11.5 cm) and a display 20.5 cm wide by 8 cm high, total weight 459 g, excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Magnificent old service consisting of 12 spoons and their wall-mounted display, all made of solid silver 800/1000, with gilded spoon bowls. The display is distinguished by a sumptuous floral relief decoration, enhanced with volutes, scrolls and a central figurative scene representing several characters in period costumes. The 12 spoons, finely chased and adorned with delicate motifs, feature superb gilded bowls, offering an elegant contrast with the solid silver. This refined ensemble, in the neorococo style, testifies to remarkable silversmithing, probably of European origin, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. Excellent condition, complete set, with no major defects apparent.
