Description from the seller
Portrait of Stephan Saint Emett
Pin-up lady in a chair speaks no evil
Claude Serre
Stephan Saint Emett was born in Santander, Spain in 1962. At the age of four he moved with his parents to France. He studied literature, architecture, and visual arts in Paris. He studied at the famous Parisian studio Penninghen/ESAG (école supérieur d’art graphiques) and then dedicated himself to animation. He made a short film that was awarded several times. In addition, he made three-dimensional figurines of his film characters to achieve a closer look and a deeper understanding of his film characters. Initially, he sculpted from a block of polystyrene, soon after from wood paste and then in polyester resin, which allowed him to work more practically, faster, and especially more precisely. His passion for women inspired him to create a collection of new “Pin-Ups” from different eras, seated in designer chairs.
