Miniature salon sewing kit / miniature carriage or cart porte-à-fouet (carriage) holder.
Parisian work in the style of Palais Royal, High Antique 19th century (circa 1830-1860).
• Precious materials: Central cup formed by a half-shell of iridescent genuine mother-of-pearl, mounted on a finely chased gilded bronze (ormolu) frame.
• The rim is entirely adorned with a meticulous work of old two-tone rocaille seed beads (blue turquoise and white), hand-woven in a very well-preserved checkerboard pattern.
