AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Offered:
A splendid and unique piece of tangible photographic history.
No. 2-A Folding Autographic Brownie antique bellows camera,
produced by Eastman Kodak around 1913-1915 (early serial number: 11206).
Mechanically and optically in outstandingly good condition with an amazing international travel story.
UNIQUE: The shutter still works very well.
Particularly historical provenance (USA / Canada / Ostend):
There are two different provenance plates on this instrument.
This is original; the intricate shutter and lens plate were manufactured at the time in Rochester, New York (USA).
These parts were then shipped to the Canadian Kodak Co. in Toronto (Canada), where the camera was assembled to take advantage of the more favorable export tariffs to Europe at the time.
Subsequently, the traveler of this camera took it to Europe.
Hanging from the original leather carrying strap is an authentic antique Belgian customs tag with the imprint "O.B." (Ostende Basin).
This proves that the camera crossed the border in the Port of Ostend in the early last century via the historic ferry route!

Condition of the camera:
Little used.
Mechanism: Shutter tested and 100% functioning.
The lens panel slides smoothly along the metal rails.
Case & Bellows: The black housing is in nice condition.
The original leather carrying strap on top is superbly preserved and perfectly legible.
The bellows fold in and out smoothly.
Optics: The tilting viewfinder (brilliant finder) is clear, and the rear lens glass gleams without deep scratches or visible mold.

The original metal stylus (pen) for the Autographic system is still clipped to the back of the camera (these almost always missing!).

Includes "Time Capsule" Film Roll:
With the camera is a unique, fully exposed Kodak Verichrome Pan film roll (616 format) from the 1950s/60s.
The roll was neatly sealed by the photographer at the time with the wrapper "EXPOSED", but never developed.
A fantastic mystery for fans of found film, or simply as a beautiful authentic decorative piece with the camera.

Dimensions:
20 x 9 x 3.5 cm.
Weight: 830 grams.

Photos are part of the lot.

Shipping with trace and tracking.
