Description from the seller
Piazzo Comm. Armando, "Pajorè" 2019, 2017 & 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Producer: Piazzo Comm. Armando
Wine: Barbaresco "Pajorè"
Vintage: 2019, 2017 & 2016
Number of Bottles: 6
Size: 0.75L
Grapes: 100% Nebbiolo
Ageing: Aged for at least 9 months in oak barrels of various sizes.
Alc.: 14.5%
It was launched in 2019, exactly 40 years after the winery’s first Barbaresco the 1979 vintage. Its name comes from a farmhouse in the heart of the vineyard known as "Pajoré," a legacy of an old family named Peirolero.
It is a place that today gives life to a new wine, yet one with deep roots. Here, the vines grow in challenging, poor soils that yield limited quantities of grapes, yet ones rich in character. The result is a refined, silky Barbaresco with elegant balsamic notes. It is the most contemporary wine in the collection: balanced, precise, and never excessive. An approachable wine that is easy to drink, yet capable of surprising the palate. Perfect for those seeking elegance without sacrificing personality. Intense ruby red with garnet hues. The nose is intense and complex, featuring floral notes of rose alongside vinous and subtly spicy nuances. Balsamic and elegant. On the palate, it is fruity at the start, then dry and characteristically tannic, well-structured, with a long, satisfying finish.
