Antique brass samovar (with a copper and brass teapot) from Russia, estimated 1900–1910, 2 objects, dimensions 225 x 225 x 375 mm, condition moderate wear and heavy use, not in working order.
Description from the seller
Samovar with a teapot made of genuine old copper and brass. This is a traditional old-fashioned samovar with age-related dents. The interior shows lime scale deposits. (Attention: soon the larger portions of lime deposits had already been cleaned.. Small samovar made of copper and brass. After thorough cleaning it might also be suitable for use. But restoration needs to be carried out, or a couple of spots soldered.) It bears a company logo BAIAT, which may indicate 'Teeboy'. (In my opinion, it is the old Russian factory by Bataschev..)
The exact age is not known. Please note the photos, as they are part of the description. The samovar will be well packaged for shipping, depending on the destination.
Item of traditional flavor, belonging to the category of coal samovars, which were widespread between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, possibly from Eastern Europe.
Shows a patina that corresponds to age and normal signs of use. Not tested for use, offered as a decorative object or collectible.
