Description from the seller
Enchanting bronze frog with calyx flower in Art Nouveau style, France, 20th century
With its playful and nimble pose, this detailed frog seems to have hopped straight out of a fairy tale, balancing on a graceful lily pad as it lovingly raises the stem of an open-work flower.
A fantastic interplay of function and mood. Use the calyx flower as a charming candle holder for a tea light, or have it serve as a stylish bowl (vide-poche) for your favorite jewelry and rings.
The rather large and solid valuable bronze trinket is in beautiful vintage condition, and the wonderful, time-shaped patina lends this little artwork a warm charm and a time-worn character.
