Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Pair of Chinese cloisonné brass vases, each 16 cm high and 5 cm wide by 5 cm deep, dating to 1950–1960, in acceptable condition with possible minor parts missing, one vase showing a dent at the lip and slight enamel loss.
Description from the seller
Magnificent pair of Chinese cloisonné vases, made of enameled metal and decorated with an exuberant floral composition of Oriental inspiration.
They stand out for their elegant silhouette, globular body, stylized neck and flared mouth, as well as for the richness of their decoration, where large flowers and delicate botanical motifs intertwine over an intense background of reddish and copper tones. The polychrome enamels, in greens, ochers and golds, are delicately outlined by fine metal profiles, characteristic of the cloisonné technique.
The ornamental friezes and the gilded metal mounts provide balance and refinement to the set, while the enameled surface presents attractive reflections that enhance the depth of its colors.
A pair with great decorative presence, especially interesting for collectors of Oriental art, cloisonné enamels and 20th-century Asian objects.
Condition: they are in attractive overall conservation. One of the vases has a dent on the lip edge and a small loss of enamel is evident, details that are shown in the photographs.
Measurements: 26.5 cm in height for each vase.
