Description from the seller
The Bose Acoustimass 6 Series III is offered, which is nearly as good as new, as only a few signs of use are noticeable. It will be shipped in the original packaging plus two wall mounts.
It is a compact 5.1-channel home theater speaker system designed to deliver room-filling sound from unobtrusive components. It was produced by Bose from 2002 to 2014 and is today a popular classic in the used-market.
Key technical data & features
System configuration: 5 passive single-cube satellite speakers (including center) and 1 active (mains-powered) Acoustimass bass module.
Amplifier compatibility: Suitable for standard A/V receivers and amplifiers with a rated power of 10 to 150 watts per channel and an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms.
Cable infrastructure: The system uses a proprietary Bose system cable. The receiver is connected to the bass module via a bundled multi-pin cable. The five satellite cubes are then connected directly to the outputs on the bass module.
Controls: The bass module has manual knobs for bass level (Room Compensation) as well as for the LFE channel levels (Low-Frequency Effects) on film soundtracks.
Recommended receiver settings
For the optimal sound, Bose recommends the following receiver configuration in the Bose Owner's Guide:
Speaker size: Set all channels to Large or Full Range (since the bass module handles the internal frequency filtering for the small cubes).
Subwoofer: Set to ON or YES.
Crossover frequency: Set to 80 Hz or the lowest possible value.
