Antique precision apériodic milliammeter from circa 1900–1920, in brass and wood, made in France by A.O.I.P, with a large 0–100 mA dial and a visible electromagnetic movement in its circular brass housing within a wooden case.
Description from the seller
An antique apériodic precision milliammeter, manufactured by the Association des Ouvriers en Instruments de Précision (Association of Workers in Precision Instruments), Paris. It features a large 0 to 100 milliampere graduated dial, a visible electromagnetic movement, and a substantial circular brass housing, mounted in its wooden case. The inscription “Breveté SGDG” and the overall construction likely indicate manufacture in the early 20th century, around 1900–1920. This type of instrument was used for electrical measurements in laboratories, workshops, or scientific teaching. A beautiful old precision instrument, with patina, signs of use, and the original case.
Très recherché dans l’univers du design industriel, des curiosités scientifiques, de la technologie médicale ancienne, de l’optique de laboratoire, du steampunk, et des instruments de mesure rares.
Ideal for a collector, industrial loft decoration, cabinet of curiosities, scientific display case (theodolite, microscope, sextant, compass).
