Description from the seller
**Mirror Frame in Louis XV Style – Carved and Gilded Wood**
Elegant **mirror frame** in **finely carved and gilded wood**, inspired by the decorative repertoire **Louis XV**. The undulating and pierced profile is enriched by refined **rocaille** motifs, scrolls, cartouches and vegetal ornamentation that develop harmoniously along the entire structure, culminating in a scenographic pierced crest.
The rich relief work highlights the quality of the carving and gives depth to the whole, while the gilding, enlivened by a pleasant patina of time, enhances its decorative character. The sinuous lines and the asymmetric movement faithfully recall the French Rococo taste, reinterpreted according to the decorative tradition between the 19th and 20th centuries.
An element of great scenic charm, ideal for reinserting a mirror or as a refined wall decoration, perfect for classical, eclectic and antique collections. It preserves traces of time and use consistent with the age and nature of the object.
