Rare Antique Biscuit Porcelain ‘Bathing Beauty’ – Model 405.W – Galluba & Hofmann (Germany) – ca. 1910-1915 – Excellent condition!
Description
A splendid and exceedingly rare antique boudoir figurine of a reclining nude figure, better known as a ‘Bathing Beauty’ Antique Galluba & Hofmann Bisque Figurine Fashion Doll.
This refined collector’s piece was crafted by the renowned German top porcelain manufacturer Galluba & Hofmann from Ilmenau (Thuringia) in the early Art Nouveau / Art Deco period (ca. 1910–1915) German Bisque Fashionable Lady, Model 405, by Galluba & Hoffman.
This specific figurine depicts a sensually reclining woman in an elegant, contemplative pose with her arm behind her head. It is made of high-quality, unglazed biscuit porcelain with a very fine, velvety texture that perfectly mimics human skin. The facial features (lips, two-tone eyeliner, modeled eyebrows, and delicate blush on the cheeks) are hand-painted with utmost precision.
Features & Markings:
