Description from the seller
From our selection of collectible minerals, we offer an aesthetically pleasing quartz cluster from Maramureș, Romania.
Moreover, it features bi-terminated and cross-cut crystals, with the typical gray-black coloration, arranged in a dense and articulated aggregate on matrix, which enhances its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for its overall aesthetic balance, with characteristics that highlight its natural structure and visual impact.
Quartz is one of the most common minerals in the Earth's crust, composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) crystallized in the trigonal system. The dark gray, almost bituminous coloration of this specimen can be attributed to the presence of inclusions of organic substances or hydrocarbons within the crystal lattice, a phenomenon observed in several sedimentary or hydrothermal deposits. The Maramureș region in Romania is historically known for its polymetallic mining districts, which have yielded quartz specimens of notable aesthetic and collecting interest over time.
This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, in line with traditionally associated properties of the mineral species.
All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with very rare exceptions always noted in the description. The photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
Shipping is carried out via reliable and carefully selected express couriers, with fast delivery (in many cases 1-2 working days within Europe), trackable and insured shipping, and professional and safe packaging, as confirmed by customer reviews. Deliveries can also occur the day after payment depending on the destination.
It is possible to combine multiple purchases and receive them in a single shipment, even from auctions with different deadlines, simply by contacting us to arrange the consolidation. For important pieces, direct home delivery by appointment or at major European fairs is also available.
