Art Nouveau Punch Bowl WMF

The item up for auction is a distinctive, original container crafted by the renowned German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in the early 20th century. The piece is characterized by a raw, geometric form typical of late Art Nouveau, transitioning into the Art Deco style.

The item bears natural signs of use and aging.
The silvering is noticeably darker, covered with a protective layer to prevent tarnishing; the layer has worn away in some places over time. To remove it completely I recommend a bath in boiling water with vinegar; the coating comes off without a problem, exposing the gleaming silvering.

Visible local wear of the silvering, minor scratches.
On the surface of the metal lid there are small dents.
Glass: Maintained in very good condition, without cracks. The engraved motif is clear and clean.
