The Marantz SA8003 is a high-quality stereo SACD and CD player originally produced between 2008 and 2011. The device was developed by Marantz as a premium mid-range player and uses techniques and materials derived from the brand's significantly more expensive Premium line.
The player is known in the audio world for its very solid build quality and the typical, warm "Marantz sound".
Key Specifications & Features
Digital-analog converter (DAC): Equipped with a high-quality Cirrus Logic CS4398 24-bit/192 kHz DAC chip with native support for DSD (Direct Stream Digital) for SACD playback.
Running: Uses an extremely rigid and vibration-damping Zylon charging mechanism.
Chassis: The main chassis and rear are fully copper-plated to minimize electromagnetic radiation and interference.
Analog Components: Equipped with Marantz's own discrete HDAM-SA2 amplifier modules (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) instead of standard cheaper op-amps.
Power supply: A heavy, double shielded ring core transformer provides a stable power supply.
