Description from the seller
CANON F-1 Late + FD 50mm F1.4, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Canon F-1 (1971) was Canon’s first true professional system SLR, built to compete directly with the Nikon F: an all-mechanical body with interchangeable finders and screens, a titanium-foil shutter to 1/2000 s and TTL metering. This is the late (revised) model of the mid-1970s, with detail improvements such as a larger advance-lever tip and wider film-speed range. It is offered here with the fast Canon FD 50mm f/1.4 standard lens.
Important — please read carefully:
The viewfinder eyepiece is cracked (not noticeable in use). Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, heavy signs of use, or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Finder: The eyepiece glass is cracked at one side; it is not noticeable when you look through the finder.
Lens: Clear — no haze, fungus or scratches.
Functional
The shutter, film transport and light meter work. Measured: 1 s = 1 s, 1/60 = 1/56, 1/1000 = 1/1170.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- 1 s — measured 1/1 s (on the mark)
- 1/60 — measured 1/56 s (approx. 0.1 stop slow)
- 1/1000 — measured 1/1170 s (approx. 0.2 stop fast)
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Known Issues
1. The viewfinder eyepiece glass is cracked at one side. It is not noticeable in use.
Bundled Items
Camera body, FD 50mm f/1.4 and lens cap, as pictured.
