Wooden statue – Bembe – DRC Congo

This wooden statue is attributed to the artistic tradition of the Bembe, a people primarily settled in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Wood sculpture holds an important place in their cultural heritage, notably through figures with expressive forms and volumes carefully worked. This piece bears witness to the richness of Central Africa's sculptural traditions.

Through its sculptural presence and its singular character, this statue holds particular interest for collectors of African art and lovers of ethnographic objects. It will naturally find its place in a specialized collection or in a contemporary interior, where it will create a harmonious dialogue between cultural heritage and contemporary aesthetics.
