This bracelet is made of natural lapis-lazuli beads cut into faceted cubes, in a deep intense blue speckled with fine gold inclusions of pyrite. The multiple facets catch the light and reveal the full richness of this royal blue, while a few discreet white calcite veins nuance the overall look.
Stone of wisdom and inner truth, lapis-lazuli is traditionally associated with clarity of mind and self-expression. It is believed to enhance intuition and open the way to more authentic communication, like a night sky inviting contemplation.
Lapis-lazuli, mined for over six thousand years from the Badakhshan mines in Afghanistan, was so precious in Antiquity that it was crushed to make ultramarine, a pigment reserved for royal frescoes and the most sacred illuminations.
