Ex voto - Wood - 1850-1900 - Grace Received

Ex voto or grace received from the late 19th century and oil on panel. It concerns (see subject) an offering made by a devotee to the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove for all the departed. A typical object of Italian popular religious practice, where often the faithful, after a supposed miracle, commissioned local painters to produce this kind of work, narrating the gesture or the supposed miracle. The painting measures 20x18 cm. Due to current regulations it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
