Description from the seller

Set of 8 liquor goblets, height 11 cm x diameter 5.3 cm, and a bottle with a numbered stopper, height 38 cm x diameter 15 cm. The producer is a well-known Swedish brand specializing in tableware, dishware and interior design, crystal: Duka, of the Sergel series (inspired/designed with references to the Swedish artist and sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel). Founded: 1962. History: It originated from the union of 16 independent Swedish shops specializing in porcelain, glassware and homeware (the oldest of which had opened in 1920 in Linköping by Hjalmar Blomkvist). Description: The bright, clear, mouth-blown crystal glass is an elegant conical goblet. The cup features a conical, elongated bowl supported by a stem worked with a central knot (nodular stem) and a flat circular base. The distinguishing feature is the gold/bronze-incised frieze along the upper band of the bowl, depicting festoons, stylized drapery, bows, and laurel garlands in a strictly neoclassical taste. Origin of the decoration: The design draws inspiration from neoclassical friezes and motifs created by the Swedish court sculptor and artist Johan Tobias Sergel (1740–1814), from whom the series takes its name.
