Description from the seller
Set of 6 dessert wine glasses (passito) height 13.3 cm x diameter 7.4 cm and a bottle with a numbered stopper height 38 cm x diameter 15 cm. The producer is a well-known Swedish brand specializing in tableware, dinnerware and interior design, crystal glassware: Duka, of the Sergel series (inspired/designed with references to the Swedish artist and sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel). Year of foundation: 1962. History: It originated from the merger of 16 independent Swedish shops specializing in porcelain, glass and home goods (the oldest of which had opened in 1920 in Linköping by Hjalmar Blomkvist). Description: The crystal glass, crystal-clear, mouth-blown, is an elegant cone-shaped wine glass. The cup features a tapering conical bowl, supported by a stem worked with a central knop (knob-stem) and a flat circular base. The distinctive feature is the gold/bronze-engraved frieze along the upper band of the bowl, depicting garlands, stylized drapery, bows and laurel wreaths in a strictly neoclassical taste. Origin of the ornament: The design is inspired by neoclassical friezes and motifs created by the court sculptor and Swedish artist Johan Tobias Sergel (1740–1814), from which the series takes its name.
