Description from the seller
Pair of Space Age lounge chairs – 1970s
An attractive pair of lounge armchairs dating from the early 1970s, a perfect example of Space Age design and Pop Art.
The lot stands out for an ingenious structural and aesthetic concept: the supporting shell consists of only four geometric elements in white-plated and lacquered wood, designed to interlock perfectly with each other without visible complex joints.
The chairs feature a strong color impact thanks to enveloping stuffed cushions with two-tone upholstery: a vivid bright red fabric on the front and a sturdy dark gray antracite thread on the back and bottom, which allows an elegant visual contrast.
The cushions are fully removable thanks to visible zippers along the outer edges.
Dimensions: width 65 cm, depth 62 cm, height 68 cm.
Seat: width 50 cm, depth 45 cm.
Seat height from the floor: 40 cm.
The chairs are structurally intact, solid and ready for use.
The white lacquer shows some small signs of wear and superficial chipping on the exposed edges (as clearly visible in the photo set), details that attest to their authenticity and vintage charm.
The fabric is intact and the zippers functioning.
Sold as seen and appreciated.
Please carefully view the photo gallery, which is an integral part of the description, to avoid misunderstandings.
Due to weight (about 30 kg) and dimensions, pickup from the seller is required.
