Bartolo Mascarello is the patriarch of the group of the most traditional Barolo producers, who have always rejected the use of barrique and, instead of vinifying the individual vineyards, have always preferred blending the grapes from different plots, in this case all located in Barolo and La Morra, to produce a single Barolo, with harmony and balance like no other.
Since Maria Teresa, Bartolo Mascarello's daughter, joined the company, while remaining faithful to her father's production standards, his wines have gained greater finesse and delicacy.
It is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the Canubbi, San Lorenzo, Rué, Rocche vineyards and aged in large Slavonian oak casks.
The Barolo Bartolo Mascarello has a garnet red color. On the nose, dominant notes are dried flowers, red fruits and spices. On the palate it is imposing due to its remarkable structure, warm and enveloping, with tannins of extraordinary finesse and a finish of great persistence.
To pair with red meat with truffles, brasato, beef roasts and aged hard cheeses.
