Description from the seller

Description:
A fine and detailed antique Neo-Gothic liturgical altar triptych (Canon Altar cards / Tabellae Altaris), used in the Roman Catholic Tridentine Mass.
Design & Artwork: Features three connected arched panels with intricate Neo-Gothic geometric borders, illuminated initials, and vivid liturgical calligraphic text in Latin (including the Gloria, Suscipiat, and the Consecration formulas "Hoc est enim corpus meum"). The central panel is surmounted by an illustration of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Frame: Beautifully crafted gilded wooden frame with elaborate relief carvings, stylized beaded borders, and Gothic arches, giving it a rich and reverent aesthetic.
Condition: Good antique condition with normal signs of age. Mild surface patina and wear on the gilded finish appropriate for its age, adding to its authentic character. (Please refer to high-resolution photos for exact condition details).
