Description from the seller
Elegant and refined set of 6 antique chairs in full Luigi Filippo Italian style, dating from the mid-19th century (circa 1850-1870).
The chairs are masterpieces of high cabinetmaking craftsmanship, made of precious solid walnut. They feature the classic and sought-after balloon-shaped backrest (open-back) adorned with splendid scroll and fluid volutes carvings. The front legs are gracefully cabriole, typical of the period, giving the structure a sense of movement and stability.
Condition report:
The set presents in excellent general conservation. The wooden structures are exceptionally solid, stable, and free of wobble or settlement. The wood shows minimal small surface drill holes typical for the object's age; the chairs have already undergone a full cycle of professional protective anti-tar treatment and the wood is healthy. The elegant upholstery with damask fabric in floral patterns is in perfect condition, clean, taut, and ready to use without need for restoration.
Pickup and logistics conditions (Note for the buyer):
The lot is not shipped by the seller. Pick-up only in Broni, in the province of Pavia (Italy).
The location is extremely convenient and strategic from a logistical perspective, being just a few minutes from the essential Castel San Giovanni highway interchange.
The pickup is easy and barrier-free: the chairs are on the ground floor and there is full vehicle access directly up to the entrance to facilitate loading.
If the buyer wishes to arrange transport through their own private courier or shipping company, all information, logistics organization, costs and any packing materials will remain the sole responsibility of the buyer."}]}?Oops.
