Beautiful Fon or Nago statuette from Benin. The figure is smiling, its gaze is bright. On its cheeks are ethnic scarifications typical of the Fon, Nago and Yoruba of Benin. The figure has no legs. Its arms are articulated. It is surely a puppet used during dances or ceremonies. Beautiful presence for this atypical object. A lovely piece for a collection of ancient and authentic Voodoo cult objects. Circa 1960.

Belle statuette Fon ou Nago du Bénin. Le personnage est souriant, le regard est illuminé. Sur ces joues des scarifications ethniques typique des Fon, Nago et Yoruba du Bénin. Le personnage n'a pas de jambes. Ces bras sont articulés. C'est surement une marionette utilisé lors de danses ou de ceremonies. Belle présence pour cet objet atypique. Une belle pièce de collection de culte Vaudou ancienne et authentique. Circa 1960.
