A rich and unique collection of antique Roman Catholic liturgical textiles and embroidered art pieces, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
1. Embroidered Virgin Mary Appliqué / Banner Fragment:
Beautiful large silk-embroidered appliqué representing the Immaculate Conception / Assumption of the Virgin Mary, depicted in floating blue and cream robes on clouds with a halo. Fine satin stitch and detailed outlining.
2. Liturgical Chalice Set (Bursa, Chalice Veil & Linens):
A red/gold silk chalice veil (velum).
A square Bursa frame covered in cream silk/satin, heavily decorated with a hand-embroidered gold bullion cross with radiant sunburst rays and gold lace trim.
An authentic white linen Purificator / Corporal with delicate lace edging.
3. Miniature Liturgical Stoles / Maniple Set:
A collection of 4 miniature/doll-sized or relic-sized liturgical vestment pieces (maniples/stoles) in various liturgical colors (velvet red, brocade gold, pinkish-red silk) trimmed with silver/gold metallic galoons and embroidery.
Condition:
