Decorative Art Nouveau lamp with a forged iron frame and a pink-violet marbled glass shade, dating from approximately 1975–1985, made in France by Tief, in good used condition.
Description from the seller
Art nouveau decorative lamp, pairing a wrought iron frame with vegetal decor and a marble glass shade in pink and purplish tones.
The set evokes the creations of French decorative arts at the beginning of the 20th century, particularly those of the Nancy School.
- The lampshade has an oval shape, close to a shell with a rounded apex, with a wide lower opening
- The wrought iron base is especially interesting for its naturalist treatment. It features a pierced structure, composed of hammered vertical uprights that frame a sinuous plant stem. In the center appear three rounded and ribbed elements, evoking stylized leaves or fruits. The base rests on three broad leafy radiating elements, which ensure the lamp's stability. The overall recalls the vocabulary of Art Nouveau ironwork.
Height of the base (without the socket): 22 cm
Width of the base: 11.5 cm
Weight of the bronze base: 461 g
Height of the glass dome: 15.5 cm
Diameter of the dome at its widest: 17 cm
Weight of the glassware: 1291 g
Total height of the lamp: 37 cm
Total weight of the lamp: 1752 g
Circa: 1975-1985
