Description from the seller
This stunning antique bellows camera is also known as a folding camera. Looking at the technical details, it features a famous Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar lens paired with a Compur central shutter. These historic plate or film models, produced mainly between the 1910s and 1930s by German brands later merged into the Zeiss Ikon group (such as ICA, Contessa-Nettel or Zeiss Ikon itself), are among the most iconic in the history of photography.
• Lens: A prestigious Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar with maximum aperture 1:4.5 and focal length f = 10.5 cm (as indicated by serial number Nr. 912255 engraved on the lens).
• Shutter: The famous mechanical central shutter Compur (produced by F. Deckel in Munich, protected by D.R.P. patents).
The camera is in good condition, functional, and sold with the original leather case, plates and plate-loading device, and a cable release. The bellows are in perfect condition.
It is undoubtedly a valuable piece, for collectors of its kind, not to be missed.
