A characteristic and decorative antique balance scale, made from sturdy black-painted cast iron and featuring an elegant, round brass (yellow copper) weighing scale.
This type of classic countertop scale was previously widely used in grocers, bakeries, and pharmacies. The mechanism operates on the traditional lever system with two platforms: one side for the products to be weighed and one side for the weights.
