Original watercolor painting entirely handcrafted, depicting Daisuke Jigen, the unmistakable gunslinger and trusted adventure companion of Lupin III, an iconic character created by Japanese cartoonist Monkey Punch. The work offers an artistic reinterpretation of Jigen inspired by the aesthetics of the recent 3D animated film, revisiting its features through a personal style and a new visual sensibility.
For almost twenty years, Davide Zanella has developed a distinctive artistic language that blends traditional watercolor techniques with his passion for Japanese illustration and animation. An artist and illustrator, Davide Zanella is the official Mediaset licensee for Lupin III and creates works dedicated to the famous saga, combining his artistic experience with the value of an official collaboration tied to one of the most beloved characters in Japanese pop culture.

In this watercolor, Jigen retains his unmistakable character: reserved temperament, confident attitude, and the aura of an experienced gunslinger, always ready to face any situation. The inspiration from the film's three-dimensional design offers a contemporary perspective on the character, while watercolor technique enhances details, shading, and the artist's personal interpretation.

Created for Arte Zeta Studio, the piece is an original, unique work with strong collectible character, dedicated to Lupin III enthusiasts and particularly to Jigen Daizuke, one of the saga’s most loved characters. An artistic homage to the iconic gunslinger, intended for collectors and fans of anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture.
