Description from the seller
Vintage Kodak Kodaslide Merit 36 mm slide projector
Body in dark Bakelite or molded plastic with a lens and a gold identification plate
Produced by Eastman Kodak Company between the 1950s and 1960s, housed inside its original rigid case
History: introduced to the market by Eastman Kodak Company starting in December 1950, it represents an important milestone in the history of amateur photography in the postwar era.
In the 1950s, thanks to the global success of color reversal films like the famous Kodachrome, there was a true boom in color photography. Families no longer wanted to simply print small black-and-white formats, but wanted to share their vacation and party memories by projecting them in large format onto the walls of their homes. The Kodaslide Merit was designed by Kodak precisely to meet this new and massive market demand: an economical, compact device that is extremely easy to use.
