Vitra – Sori Yanagi – Butterfly Stool – Maple Wood – New

An iconic design classic: the Butterfly Stool, designed by the famous Japanese designer Sori Yanagi and produced by Vitra. This particular piece is finished in elegant maplewood and is in new condition.

The Butterfly Stool, originally designed in 1954, is among the most recognizable and valued designs in the history of international design. The design forms a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics, innovative craftsmanship, and modern furniture design.

The stool consists of two gracefully curved elements of molded plywood with a high-quality maple veneer finish. The flowing, symmetrical shapes recall the spread wings of a butterfly, from which this iconic design derives its name.

The light, warm appearance of the maple wood emphasizes the natural beauty of the material and the sculptural lines of the design. The subtle combination of simplicity, elegance, and functionality makes the Butterfly Stool much more than an ordinary stool: it is a timeless design object with a distinctive look.

Thanks to its refined form, this design classic is perfectly suited to both modern and classic interiors. The Butterfly Stool is particularly suitable as a stylish seating stool, decorative object, or exclusive accent in a high-end interior.
