Minichamps
ref. #111091
Citroen SM Maserati "URIC" 1970 - yellow - "Unite Rapide d'Intervention Chimique"
mint & boxed - very good quality - hard to find today - totally out of production
Historic Note
The Citroën SM URIC is a special and extremely rare version of the famous Franco-Italian grand tourer launched in 1970.
The actual vehicle: The original car was outfitted in the early 1970s for URIC (a company operating in the emergency response and safety sector). It was designed as a rapid-response vehicle for use in the event of chemical disasters or major road accidents. Officially unveiled at the 1972 Paris Commercial Vehicle Show, it featured striking bright yellow bodywork and specialized equipment supplied by expert firms (such as Sicli fire extinguishers, gas masks, protective suits, and even diving gear).
Mechanics: As a Citroën SM (often colloquially referred to as the "Citroën Maserati"), it combined futuristic aerodynamic bodywork and French hydropneumatic suspension with a powerful 2.7-liter Maserati V6 engine.
