The Duseigneur Catarina blanc 2023 embodies an exacting and distinctive vision of Châteauneuf-du-Pape white. Signed by Domaine Duseigneur, a estate certified in organic and biodynamic farming, this cuvée is a parcel selection made from the La Cerise lieu-dit, located in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The vines, with an average age of 40 years, take root in argilo-calcareous soils characteristic of the appellation, covered with rolled pebbles that contribute to the wine’s concentration and complexity.

This cuvée is composed exclusively of Clairette, the iconic grape variety of the great whites of the southern Rhône Valley. The 2023 vintage offers a beautiful golden-hued robe, followed by a seductive nose of fresh fruit, pear and white peach. On the palate, the wine is ample, rich and velvety, supported by hints of honey and a long, fresh and indulgent finish.

Aged on fine lees for several months, this process adds volume, texture and a lovely aromatic depth, without masking the precise identity of the Clairette. The result is a gastronomic white, at once powerful and elegant, faithful to the sunny character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape while maintaining real tension.

Serve it at 12–14 °C to fully enjoy its balance. It will pair brilliantly with roasted or sauced fish, a cream-based poultry dish, a mushroom risotto, a dish in creamy sauce or even aged cheeses. Thanks to its structure and concentration, the Duseigneur Catarina blanc 2023 also has excellent aging potential: it can be enjoyed now for its fruit, or held for a few years to develop further complexity.
