Remarkable vintage flatwoven (kilim) rug, most likely of Austrian origin. 
The geometric starburst pattern in earthy tones seems an iconic example of Mid-Century Modern design trends from the 1970s/1980s. 

The rug is handwoven wool on wool, evident in the supple texture and the woolen fringe. The rug is in very good condition, the wool is clean and sturdy, with no holes or thin spots.

Bijzonder vintage platweefsel (kelim) vloerkleed, zeer waarschijnlijk van Oostenrijkse herkomst. 
Het geometrische starburst-patroon in aardse tinten, lijkt een iconisch voorbeeld van de Mid-Century Modern designtrends uit de jaren ‘70/‘80. 

Het kleed is handgeweven wol op wol, te zien aan de soepele structuur en de wollen franjes. Het kleed is in zeer goede staat, de wol is schoon en stevig, zonder gaten of dunne plekken.
