Large animalier vase in slip-decor pottery (barbotine) Art Nouveau, Pedestal with 3 owls & vine relief, circa 1900

Description
Imposing monumental vase in barbotine from the Art Nouveau period (1890-1910).
A highly decorative and sculptural piece, characterized by a tripod pedestal footing depicting three elongated owls standing against a caryatid support, resting on a base ornamented with oak leaves and acorns in high relief.
The stout baluster body of the vase is beautifully decorated with vine tendrils, leaves and generously sculpted grape clusters.
