Europhon - Adriano Rampoldi - Table lamp (2) - Idea - ABS - Idea Radio-Lamp

[RARITY] Pair of table lamp-radios with integrated AM radio, produced in the early 1970s by Europhon of Milan, on the iconic Adriano Rampoldi project.

The lot represents a rarity; it is not a single piece, but a pair of lamps in cardinal red and together with orange, from the 1970s.

The design blends the practicality of a multi-object and the lighting creates a vintage atmosphere. The radio controls (power, volume and tuning of the Medium Wave) are recessed and integrated into the base groove via two serrated wheels.
The light has two brightness levels and is adjusted with the two front buttons. The radio, being AM, even though functional (crackles), can no longer tune AM frequencies as they no longer broadcast.

Conservation and aesthetic condition:
Both lamps are in excellent general aesthetic condition, as shown in the images. The ABS plastics retain a vivid shine, no breakages, only a sign of wear at the base of one of the two. Some marks on the typical domes and small heat deformations from using high-wattage bulbs; they support up to 30W (bulbs for household ovens are best). The central chromed ring is shiny and free of significant rust bloom. The lower selectors are original and intact and the power cords are original as well. Only a small retaining block for the screw is missing, located inside the dome.

A truly very beautiful pair and hard to find in contemporary condition.
