Description from the seller

Original antique Japanese tofu basket from the 1940s/1950s. Very fine, partly dyed weave of high quality!

The baskets were used to transport tofu, from the shop to home or to the countryside and plantations, like a kind of lunchbox but indeed a very beautiful one!

The basket consists of 3 nested baskets or containers. They measure 19 x 25 cm and have different heights: 8.5 – 9 – 13 cm. Total height 35 cm.

In very good condition considering its age and fragility.
The photos are part of the description.
