Description from the seller
Lady and the Tramp (Walt Disney, 1955)
Lady Animation Drawing
"Now here you are. The best spaghetti in town." Capturing the momentous date at Tony's place, Lady is served a romantic dish along with the ladies' dog Tramp in this remarkable rough animation drawing. Crafted over 70 years ago, for Walt Disney's fifteenth feature length animated film Lady and the Tramp. The charming Lady was animated by a few of Disney's "Nine Old Men", including Ollie Johnston (1912-2008), Frank Thomas (1912-2004), and Milt Kahl (1909-1987) with the inspiration behind the charming romantic lead being storyman Joe Grant's (1908-2005) own Springer Spaniel named Lady. This endearing moment can be found near the 46:50 timestamp as the Italian culinary artist, Tony puts down a bowl of spaghetti for the two leading up to the momentous "Bella Notte" scene. This graphite drawing of Lady measures approximately 6 x 15 cm on the 16 field 3-peghole sheet with a light rendering of Tramp's outline in blue color pencil. The page has mild handling and edge wear including corner creases, slight wrinkling over Lady's image with slight linework smudging, light age-related toning, a stain near the upper right edge with a tear that is punctured over the same spot, a left peghole support, and light debris. Overall, in Good condition.
