Rugged and Imposing Iron Candelabra – Brutalist 1970s Style MADE IN ITALY – Exclusive Pair
We offer at auction an extraordinary pair of monumental candelabra that perfectly capture the bold, sculptural spirit of 1970s design. These imposing pieces are far more than mere candlesticks; they are true works of iron art that add a touch of character, charm, and refinement to any space.
Brutalist Style and Design:
Entirely crafted in solid iron, these candelabra stand out for their striking Brutalist style, highly sought after by design collectors of the twentieth century. The majestic iron architecture features a complex and fascinating interplay of volutes and symmetric scrolls, enhanced by evocative red pendant drops that create a striking color contrast and elegant dramatic impact.
Each candelabrum is designed to host three candles (as shown in the images), distributed symmetrically over multiple levels, highlighting the geometric, sleek structure. The solid tripod base ensures stability, while the natural patina of iron and the dark finish, with the subtle and captivating signs of time, give these pieces an authentic vintage character unmistakable.
Condition:
These candelabra date from the 1970s and are presented in excellent vintage condition. The iron structure is solid, heavy, and intact. There are no structural damages or obvious repairs. There are natural and light signs of wear consistent with the era, which attest to their authenticity and enhance the charm of bygone times. Please examine the detailed photos carefully for an accurate assessment of condition.
