Description from the seller

A splendid and exceptionally elegant series of 12 uranium glass liqueur glasses, originating from the Belgian glass factory Verreries Doyen.

These refined glasses are executed in a characteristic Art Deco design, with a graceful fan-shaped relief decoration that runs upward from the base of the glass. The long, geometrically faceted stem and the round foot give each glass an elegant, balanced appearance.

In daylight the glasses appear clear and almost colorless, but under ultraviolet light they reveal their special character.

Under UV illumination at 365 nm, all 12 glasses fluoresce a bright green, a striking feature of uranium-containing glass. This distinctive property creates a spectacular visual effect and makes the series especially attractive to collectors of historic uranium glass.

An important peculiarity is the preserved original factory label of Verreries Doyen on the foot of one of the glasses. This forms a valuable addition to the Belgian origin and the collectible value of the series.

The combination of the elegant Art Deco design, the exceptional fluorescence, and the original factory label makes this complete set an attractive addition to any collection of Belgian glassware.
