Magnificent pair of classic-style wall sconces (Empire or Hollywood Regency inspiration), ideal for adding a touch of distinction, warmth, and sophistication to any room, such as a living room, hallway, or entryway. Dating probably to the mid-20th century, these sconces stand out for their elegant structure in gold-toned brass with an upper crown featuring a cut-out and ornamented design.
Each sconce features a semicircular body adorned with multiple rows of teardrop-shaped pendants and faceted carved crystal beads that cascade down. When lit, the light filters and refracts wonderfully through the crystals, creating a decorative and elegant play of light and shadow on the wall.
Conservation Status:
The sconces are in generally good condition and aesthetically very striking, preserving a beautiful natural patina on the brass in keeping with their age.
