The handcrafted vintage design floor lamp in the selected section was designed by artist Carreño Angel Fermín for Kunstatelier La Rocha. The weight of this particular sand/art resin lamp is approximately 13 kg. The relatively high weight is mainly due to the sturdy, step-shaped base made of solid concrete. Model: A striking, tapering pyramid- or pillar-shaped construction that narrows toward the bottom into a stable, step-shaped base.
Material & Construction
Lamp shade / Body: Made from high-quality art resin (fiberglass) blended with a fine sand texture. This gives the lamp its characteristic rough texture and warm, gold-like appearance.
Base: Made of solid concrete, providing a sturdy center of gravity and an industrial contrast.

Lighting & Effect
Light source: The lamp has an internal fitter (usually suitable for a standard E27 bulb).
Lighting effect: When the lamp is switched on, the resin with sand grains creates a atmospheric, diffuse and warm ambient light. By day, the lamp mainly functions as an elegant and modern sculptural object in the interior, while in the evening it becomes a true eyecatcher.
Origin & Style
Period: Designed and produced in the 1990s (Postmodern design).
Style: Organic modernism with brutalist or Mediterranean influence, typical for the Spanish art studio.
