Elegant vintage coffee table in Mid-Century Modern style, dating from the 1960s.

It features a black lacquered wrought-iron base, finely worked with elegant decorative scrolls and curved legs. Its rectangular top presents a checkerboard composition alternating solid-black tiles and glazed earthenware tiles. These are adorned with superb polychrome illustrations detailing traditional scenes of fox hunting (riders in red coats, horses, and packs of hounds).

Condition:
Very good overall. The piece has been remarkably preserved: the faience top shows no cracks or chips, retaining all the brilliance and shine of its original glaze.

The wrought-iron structure is perfectly stable, sound, and robust. A characterful piece ideal for adding a retro-chic, equestrian touch to a contemporary interior.
