Exquisite figurative liquor cruet in the shape of a bird (stylized crested bird), a piece of fine silversmithing and mid-20th century collecting in Spain.
• Materials: Body blown in translucent ruby red crystal (Cranberry glass). Head, neck and talons finely sculpted in solid sterling silver, with exterior gold finish and a purified gold bath (Vermeil) on the interior of the head to prevent corrosion of the liqueurs.
• Marks and Contrasts: Fully stamped in multiple zones (talons, neck and interior base). It bears the official five-point star mark (Guarantee of First-Law Silver of 915 thousandths fineness under Spanish state regulation post-1934) and the geometric mark of the silversmith workshop.
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The crystal is intact, with no cracks, chips, or restorations. The silver fittings fit perfectly. Natural patina of the period.
