Specimen: Acropora latistella, a branching coral from the Solomon Islands, in good condition, 2023, weight 4 kg, dimensions 18 cm high × 17 cm wide × 20 cm deep, 1 object.
Description from the seller
Acropora Latistella
Corals, among the marvelous creatures that populate the seabed, are certainly the most fascinating living beings. Acropora latistella stands out for its branching structure, often dense, delicate, always harmonious: the image of a world, the marine one, in which even the most fervent imagination could not conceive such unique creatures.
The coral protagonist of this lot is of significant size, perfect in a collection of naturalist objects but also suitable as a decorative piece for refined interiors.
The pedestal, made from recycled materials, is not included in the lot and is used for photographic purposes only.
It should be noted that the corals in the auction are still accompanied by regular CITES documentation. It is expected that the Solomon Islands publish the new regulations regarding coral exports. Any blockage would not only make it difficult to sourcing these beautiful specimens on the market but also cause a significant increase in their prices.
Happy bidding.
