Description from the seller
Vintage Philips Infraphil HP 3609 Infrared Lamp with Original Box and Manual - 1970s (Space Age / Dutch Design)
Iconic Philips infrared radiant lamp Infraphil, model HP 3609, produced in the Netherlands between the late 1960s and the 1970s. This celebrated piece of mid-century design combines Dutch engineering with a functional, minimalist aesthetic, whose famous geometric-cone design has historically been associated with and inspired by the style of renowned designer Charlotte Perriand.
Initially conceived as a therapeutic device for thermotherapy (pain relief from deep heat), today it is a highly sought-after vintage furnishing piece. Thanks to its distinctive red light and Space Age silhouette, it’s perfect as a desk lamp or ambient accent lamp for retro or minimalist interiors.
The lamp body housing is made of cream-white lacquered aluminum, featuring an ergonomic rear handle with the original “Philips - Made in Holland” embossing. The lamp rests on a sturdy chrome tubular frame that allows the beam to be oriented and angled smoothly and effectively.
Exceptionally complete lot, ideal for collectors, including:

• Original functioning Philips infrared lamp bulb of 150W with Fresnel lens.
• Original era-user manual / operating booklet.
• Original cardboard box with period graphics (rare for this model)
