Description from the seller
MORGAN AERO 8 #80 – 24 HOURS OF LE MANS 2004
Magnificent 1:32 scale reproduction of the spectacular Morgan Aero 8 GTN No. 80, a participant in the 2004 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Morgan Works Race Team.
The model reproduces the unique competition Morgan Aero 8, one of the most charismatic cars on Le Mans’ grid for its blend of modern technology and Morgan’s unmistakable classic aesthetics.
The car was driven by Adam Sharpe, Neil Cunningham, and Steve Hyde, marking Morgan’s official return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was equipped with a powerful 4.5-liter BMW V8 engine, paired with Yokohama tires, and reached a top speed close to 277 km/h.
During the race, No. 80 completed 222 laps and over 3,000 kilometers, although it ultimately did not receive an official classification for not meeting the minimum number of laps required. In the final standings it is listed as the 27th participant in the LM GT class, but with NC (Not Classified).
SCX produced a particularly attractive replica of this car, preserving its distinctive bodywork, separate wheel arches, and the Morgan Works Race Team competition livery.
