Description from the seller

The pendant, expertly crafted by hand from 925 sterling silver and a fossil ammonite—a spiral shell that once belonged to an extinct marine mollusk—is one of the most renowned fossils on Earth and an absolute eye-catcher.

The interior of the ammonite chambers: each chamber was filled with glittering ammolite fragments, an organic and very rare gemstone formed from fossilized mineral sediments. Ammolite is known for its incredible color variety; only the Indigenous tribes have the right in Canada to mine and sell it.

The Indigenous people who discovered these pieces with the utmost care number about 60. A fascinating story lies behind every fragment of ammolite. Coupled with this piece is absolute craftsmanship perfection and the wonder of nature.
